February 2010
Delentigo, developed by Mibelle Biochemistry, is a cosmetic ingredient to fight age spots and create an even skin tone. Age spots are characterised by a local overproduction of the two pigments melanin and lipofuscin. Delentigo prevents and reduces the synthesis of both these pigments.

Compared to classical whitening products, that generally lighten the skin, Delentigo has a targeted, stronger lightening effect on age spots than on the surrounding normally pigmented skin. Clinical studies showed that Delentigo:

• Visibly lightens age spots.
• Creates an even skin tone.
• Prevents photo-ageing and dark spots.

The new product is based on sulphoraphane from cress sprouts, a "second generation" anti-oxidant and genistein from soy, a natural inhibitor of the tyrosine kinase. Encapsulated in an advanced vector system Delentigo allows a targeted and time-releasing activity.

A true petrolatum alternative
Until antibiotics conquered the world, the only possible method for curing gangrene was maggot therapy, except for amputation of the extremities. Maggots were applied to the wound and would eat the necrotic tissue, including the organisms that were responsible for that.

Skin defences boosted by grapefruit extract
Humans are constantly exposed to harmful foreign chemicals and materials from exogenous and endogenous sources. As a result, defence mechanisms have evolved to protect against toxin overload.1 Cells are under constant threat from metabolic waste products and xenobiotics. The formation of phase I and phase II metabolism mobilises and excretes these mainly lipophilic toxins.
